We had a great reviewing our sight/heart words (the, and, I, a, is, as, and said) and using those sight words in our writing journal this week. We have been exploring natural and man-made objects and how to tell the difference in science and made a bunch of silly sentences such as "a t-shirt tree! That would be silly, people make t-shirts!" this led to a lot of hands up to make silly sentences that included a shoe bush, bicycles that grew from the ground, and houses that rained from the sky. In math we worked on recognizing numbers that were larger or smaller, more or less, and continued our work on understanding numbers in depth to 10. In art we created beautiful tissue paper spring flowers, I was so impressed by the students dedication and hard work, their art looks absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed some great Easter activities in our Easter Egg obstacle course where we balanced Easter eggs to see if we could make it through a tricky course.
