What a wonderful week we had in Kindergarten! 🌟
We had gym this week, where we joined the other Kinder class in the afternoon for some fun games and movement. Playing together helps us practice teamwork, listening skills, and keeping our bodies active.
Our letters of the day kept us busy too! When we worked on the letter E, we explored magnetic discs and magnet wands as we filled the letter Ee with our discs and then used the wands to collect them. Many of the students did this one over and over again. For the letter F, we used fluffy feathers to make a special activity that worked our fine motor skills and let our creativity shine! I even got some beautiful Fall Flowers.
The sunshine gave us plenty of chances to play outside. We even decorated the sidewalk with our very own homemade chalk paint. Mixing, painting, and creating outside helped us with cooperation, motor skills, and of course—imagination! 🎨 We were even featured on the IREC Facebook page!
In art, we made “magic names,” and got to explore the rules of using our water colour paint. The students loved watching their names appear, and it was a great way to practice recognizing letters, following instructions, and building pride in their work.
It was a busy, happy week filled with learning, laughter, and lots of creativity. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
