Week of September 9th

We had a great first week in Kindergarten! The students are still learning our routines and we have been slowly capacity building as we navigate this new experience. This most of this week we went outside for recess at the end of the day, however on Friday we joined the entire school during their recess hours. The recess schedule is from 10:15-10:30am and from 1:40-2:00pm.

We did lots of letter crafts, read some great new books like "How do Dinosaurs go to School?" and "I am (not very) Brave. We played Musical Shapes and introduced our calendar. We joined Ms. Yvonne's Kindergarten class for gym on Tuesday and Thursday, and made a special craft to go into our keep sake books. It has been a busy week! This Friday we got to experience the school library for the first time. We can't take out books yet but we will be able to soon!

Next week we join for recess with the whole school every day and start our ABC bootcamp. Please don't feel too pressured if you forget to pack something with the letter of the week, we are doing lots of letter activities in the classroom as well.
